👋🏼 Hi I'm Hedy

I was born, raised, and currently work in the Bay Area. I went to Boston University for college and since graduating, I’ve been a camp counselor in Maine, ski school support staff member in Colorado, server, nanny, and executive assistant. 

I started this blog in 2022, during a time when I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. (I still don't know what I'm doing, but I manage the angst much better now.) I was a recent college grad and had nothing figured out. What kind of career am I going to have? How am I going to manage my long distance relationship? Do I like the friends I have? I needed an outlet that allowed me to organize and reflect on at least some of the tornado of thoughts and voices in my head. So here we are.

Since then, through my blog, I’ve explored my evolving relationship with work, my outdoor adventures, and areas of self-growth. I'll continue to write about these topics, while also branching out to cover other passions of mine such as cooking and sustainable, community-centered living.

Here's a little more about me:

I’d much rather go on a self-guided $60 walking food tour (and eat all day) than have a $60 sit-down meal. 🫔 

I believe that if your younger and older self can see where you are now and feel proud, you’re probably doing pretty well for yourself. 👵🏻

I love doing extensive research for trips, then handing the information off to someone else (who's usually my amazing boyfriend Cam), so during the trip, I can be a travel princess. 🧳

After 4 years of constantly cutting my hair to chin length, I’m finally in the process of growing my hair back out. 💇🏻‍♀️

In the future, I'd love to have my own little farm. 👩🏻‍🌾
